This one is a standout. One cannot hesitate to wear a denim dress in summer or even on one of the rainiest day. (I guess that is why Neha agreed to do this shoot)

What I love the most about this dress is that it is extremely easy to style. The no nonsense kind of look. The slits on the side of the dress give it a welcomed edge. Also, the conservative length of the dress makes it so comfortable for brunches, coffee and picnics.

 

Pairing it with black accessories was a great idea. The plain frock got a polished look with the bold necklace and bracelet. The sling bag just added the required feel.

Sunglasses are a must in this scorching heat. Wearing aviators or the trending colorful reflectors is a cool option. A floor length buttoned down dress or a shorter high low dress will also look cute. These dresses are available in shirt style with patches and zips giving it a funky touch.

We chose to wear platform sandals; however this look is so versatile that it allows you to wear sneakers or even ballerinas. Your unique styling can make it look either tom boyish or chic. It depends on how you would want to carry it. You can also use a belt to cinch the waist or wear a scarf around the neck to look even more innovative.

So boost your wardrobe this season with this refined and classic look.

Summer Wardrobe Mainstay

Aren’t we so bored of the typical style of wearing a waistcoat? Ruchika’s thought of going boho and unconventional by using the waistcoat as a cover-up on a tank top is what made this outfit so quirky. All it took was a white sleeveless Tee and cute pink shorts.

Since summer has kicked in, this post is apt for the cool and different women who love to explore. Most people are reluctant to try this on as it gives a masculine look, but honestly, we feel it makes one look sexy and powerful.

The accessories we used for the attire was a pair of nerdy glasses, a long chain and a simple watch. However, you can also carry it off with a sling bag or a clutch.

Also, a lot of use of different colors usually tends to destroy the look, but in this case, the bright bottoms were compensated with a lighter shade top. Thus overall, it looked serene.

On the other hand, the high pony enhances the outfit as it makes one look taller and adds the vintage feel. One can also go for heels or wedges for the height factor. We went with ankle length mint green shoes, as converse is like denim, it remains evergreen forever.

Outdoor Diaries…

It’s always black! Very few people go for black’s soul sister – Navy Blue. In spite of it being such a universal, all year round color! In fact, whether one has to look formal or informal, this shade suits all skin tones.

Since its turning warm again, we thought it was a good idea to bare those shoulders. We love this combination of an off-shoulder crop top and a balloon skirt.

It is a good decision to opt for a waisted bubble skirt, like we used the silver belt to do so and pair it with a fitted short top and high heels. This helps one look less voluminous due to the already frumpy style of the bell skirt.

Moreover, we chose to the bun the hair and not go for a statement choke necklace, as this helps pay emphasize to the beautiful neckline drawn by the off-shoulder crop top.

Coming to the accessories, Kritika found some old junk earrings in her jewellery box, which perfectly matched our outfit! (She always gets something nice coincidently). We just added a few mid rings.

Also, we went minimal on the make-up with a light shade of pink on the lips. This was to retain the cuteness of the look rather than go bold.

Republic Day Post!

The combination of black and gold is a luxurious mix that will never let you down. Many times we struggle between a traditional indian look and a western outfit. So we decided to blend both of them.

For this look, adding a sling, statement earrings and few bangles worked well for us since the high low crop top already had a chain attached. Also it is advisable to either go for long heavy earrings or a bold neck piece but both together can make you look really loud.

A maxi skirt can always be worn with casual tees like a round neck, V neck or a tank top. However, you can also pair them with a peplum top, crop top or a traditional Indian blouse to give a more formal look.

Moreover, this time Ruchika and Neha decided to give me a middle parting (our obsession with the Jenner’s :P) and it worked well for us. On the foot wear front, one can opt for kolhapuri flats, mojari’s or block heels just like we did.
