Summer Casuals

Summer Outfits

The reason I chose to write about holiday casuals is because, after spending more than a year indoors, with no parties to attend or restaurants, bars and coffee shops to flock, people want change. They want to dress up and feel good about themselves.

The concept of “revenge shopping” is something only a developed country such as the States can afford or China where the luxury market is booming due to hardly any cases at all.

In India, rather than going all out with animal prints (especially cow and zebra), I thought to share a few looks I donned on my weekend getaway (close to home) that are easy and fun to implement if you’re looking to refresh your wardrobe.

Solids

Solids may seem plain but a dress with a good neckline or the waist being clenched with a nice belt can look really classy. I accessorized mine with a hat 😀

Prints

This high-low peek-a-boo floral dress is so refreshing to wear. I simply love its knot straps for how it accentuates my shoulders and mid riff. Some long earrings with it feels even more chic.

Solids & Prints Fusion

If you’re lying on the fence and are not yet ready to give up your sweatpants life, these printed shorts paired with a solid cami top helps you get the best of both worlds 🙂 Top off the outfit with oversized sunglasses.

Crochet Romper

I dyed my white playsuit lying in my cupboard into sea green instead of buying a new piece. Wearing it after its transformation gave me the same feeling as if wearing a new one. I simply love high-waist, crochet material and peplum layers!

P.S. – I bought all these outfits from a store called “Cherry fig” at Pali Naka, Bandra West, Mumbai.

Hope this leaves you optimistic and makes you want to get out of your pyjamas 😛
